Functional Load and Resolution of "CHI(吃,eat)" in the Chinese "CHI+NP" Structure

Having been spoiled by the Chinese culture,the verb CHI boasts of higher functional load and lower resolution in the Chinese language system.It has intra-subsystem and inter-subsystem semantic propensity.As functional load is in inverse proportion to semantic resolution in language use,both use and understanding of CHI in the CHI+NP theoretically and practically depend on pertinent contextual content.
