To meet the requirement of intelligent and distributive software developmentbetter, the main properties of multi-agent systemand the core concepts of web service are introduced. Then, an architecture for multi-agent system based on web service was proposed.The architecture integrates the respective advantages of agent technology and web service could more efficiently build the open, dynamicand heterogeneous multi-agent system applied in distributed environment.
