Bayes Discriminant Analysis Method in Lithology Recognition

At present, along with the further development of oil exploration, the exploration and development of the complex reservoirs were more difficult. In consideration of the difficult condition to lithology identification of complex reservoirs, Bayes method of mathematical statistics was introduced, logging data were used to classify the lithology to regard the classification discriminant as a problem, and then determine the sample type of attribution by calculating the posterior probability of sample. Practical application results show that the Baye-judge is well applied to complex lithology delineation.
