SUMMARIZATION OF OUTCROP-BASED SEQUENCE STRATIGRAPHY RESEARCH METHODS

Based on the lastest studies and practices of outcropbased sequence stratigraphy,this paper discusses the research contents,measures,methods and flow,and analyses differentlevel stratumcell interfaces,including their outcrop characteristics and identification signs,such as bed interface,parasequence and parasequence sets interface,Itype and IItype sequence interface.Aiming at the problem of chartmaking,this paper suggests the flow and methods,including the point,line,surface,3D,and evolvement.All this will be very important for further researches on outcrop sequence stratigraphy.
