Method of the Image Indexing and Retrieval Based on the Color Feature

This paper studies the method of automatically abstracting and indexing the color and spatial contents of image and gives the color set representation and the query strategies based on color set, which overcome the shortcomings of color histogram method, such as high dimensional feature vectors, spatial location, index and distance calculation,etc.
