The Predicative Function of Mental Schema in Reading

Mental schema refers to the representative of past experiences in people's memory.Since the beginning of 1970s,the theory of mental schema has been widely applied to provide guidance for reading.This paper analyzes the predicative function of mental schema in reading so as to prove that the theory of mental schema is important for improving people's reading ability.
