A New Measurement for Grounding Grid Resistance Based on Triangle Compensation Testing Method
Sen Wang · Electrical Measurement & Instrumentation · 2010
The environment of substation have become complex with the development of urbanization, which makes the accurate placement of electrode difficult in the grounding resistance testing. So a new testing method is proposed,in this measurement, the position of electrodes must not be restricted. It is based on the principle of measuring grounding resistance by three-pole method, which get grounding resistance through more than twice grounding resistance test, and grounding grid, current electrode and potential electrode with arbitrary triangles, but must use apparent grounding resistance and the sides of triangle to establish a over determined equations of equivalent soil resistively and grounding resistance. It seeks optimum equivalent soil resistively to meet the equations set by traversal soil resistively. It also makes compensation for the apparent grounding resistance so as to get the grounding resistance of substation. An experimental grounding grid is used as an example to show the proposed method feasibility and correctness.
