Based on the standards and rules of internal overvoltage,the mechanism of formation,harm and characteristic of internal overvoltage of transformer are demonstrated by drawing on the experience of practical operation.Via carefully analyzing the theory,the advantage and disadvantage of over voltage protection of ungrounded trans-former on voltage grade of 110kV and under,the reasonable configuration of over voltage protection of transformer and improvement methods for protection are also presented.Ensure the transformer operating securely,steadily and sustainedly.
