Current routing protocols can't sufficiently utilize multiple channels in Mobile Ad Hoc networks(MANET).In this paper,we present an innovation routing protocol which utilizes multiple channels so that the node pairs' data transmissions can occur simultaneously and no effects between these transmissions, thus increasing network capacity.Ad-Hoc on demand distance vector(AODV) routing protocol and channel assignments are briefly introduced, then through a minor modifications to the protocol and adding some mechanisms, such as channel index fields, dynamic channels information exchange,we present a new on-demand routing protocol AODV-MC that can support the Multi-Channel for Mobile Ad hoc networks. In the end,we implement the contrastive simulation, and the results show that AODV-MC can better fits the Multiple channel environment than other on-demand routing protocols, decrease the drop rate, and increase the network throughput while increasing the overhead little.
