Office GIS Design Based on Client/Server Structure Model

GIS has been used more and more widely in various fields. One of the most important application is that GIS is integrated with OA to form the so called Office GIS. This paper has a brief introduction for the conception of Office GIS application system and Client/Server structure model, discusses the main characteristic of Office GIS application system on basis of Client/Server structure and puts forward the related designing principles. The paper also cites a designing example, which shows the efficiency and practicality of Office GIS on basis of Client/Server structure.
