Analysis of Target Tracking Based on Range Difference Measurement With Multistatic Radar System
Wei Sheng Chong · 2000
An analysis is presented for target tracking with a short range multistatic radar system in this paper. The velocity vector is introduced into the model describing target motion, which depicts the target moving more precisely. The system measurement equation is constructed on the basis of range diference that makes the tracking model independent of the transmitting position. Therefore the algorithm is quite suitable for cases where the transmitter is not fixed. Simulation results show that the algorithm has the advantages of fast tracking and small steady tracking errors, and can be used for tracking targets in short range with a multistatic radar system.
