Dual Mode Blind Equalization Algorithm Based on Instantaneous Gradient Change Rate

To further improve the performance of constant modulus blind equalization,an instantaneous gradient change rate based dual mode blind equalization algorithm is proposed in this paper.The instantaneous gradient change rate is defined according to the change rate of the normalized weights between before and after the adjacent equalization iteration.Based on the change rate we set the threshold,which can realize the switch between the constant modulus algorithm(CMA) and directed decision(DD) algorithm.Dual mode blind equalization algorithm can combine the advantage of robustness of CMA and the faster convergence rate of DD to improve the performance.Computer simulation results demonstrate the validity of the algorithm.
