THE STATISTICAL ANALYSIS OF THE WAVELET TRANSFORM COEFFICIENTS FOR THE MEDICAL IMAGE

The medical ultrasound image was decomposed with the wavelet transform.The statistical properties such as mean,variance and energy of the wavelet transform coefficients were studied.The analysis might guide the medical image compression coding and the image de-noising.
