Overview of Ontology Research

Ontology is used to study the physical presence and physical presence of the essence.It is a conceptual model to describe concepts and the relationship between these concepts in a certain field.As a kind of means of knowledge representation and sharing,ontology is widely concerned and extensively applied in computer science and technology.This paper introduces the concept and classification of ontology,discusses ontology construction principles,construction methods,construction tools and ontology description languages.Ontology construction methods and ontology description languages are compared respectively.
