Construction of Domain Ontology for Boiler Fault Detection System Based on Skeletal Methodology

The usefulness of fault detection system for power plants is restricted at present for the shortage of the public cognition,comprehension and description about the conception of equipment fault characteristic.An ontology construction methodology is proposed in this paper for fault detection system.The characteristic ontology about boiler heated pipe fault is constructed by researching the equipment fault characteristic factor,and absorbing the knowledge of domain expert,skeletal methodology in ontology design,methods of ontology development and OWL(Web Ontology Language).An ontology model about consistent heated pipe fault characteristic and an unification identifier for concept hierarchy are provided for reducing the fuzziness of primary information,and enhancing the accuracy and credibility of fault detection system.
