Survey on the mobility management theory and technology

The mobility management was considered as a special technology.The newcoming requirements on mobility management brought by the coexistence of heterogeneous access networks and large numbers of mobile terminal were analyzed.Based on the analysis of the definitions and classifications of mobility management,the protocol and network reference models of mobility management were proposed.After discussion and comparison of the existing mobility management technologies according to those models,several challenges to the future mobility management were brought forward.
