The primary concern of bluetooth technology is to build a general criterion for the wireless aerial interface and its control software , making it possible for different manufacturers to interconnect their handsets without use of any wire or cable Bluetooth's objective is to put this criterion into practice around the world The paper attempts to give a brief description and introduction to the characteristics of bluetooth technology from different aspects of short distance wireless connection, topological structure of network, hop frequency and communication protocol It is also predicted that bluetooth technology will dominate the communicative field in the future
