Analysis and Applications of the Shortest Path Based on MapX

MapInfo MapX is an Active X component enabling developers to embed mapping functionality to any application in the most cost-effective manner using object-oriented languages. In this paper, several key technologies to establish the road topology structure are discussed, and a method for building the road topology structure based on MapX is presented .Finally, an example of finding the shortest path in the road network is given t verify the method’s feasibility and validity.
