Development of vinyl acetate by carbonylation

The conventional methods of synthesis vinyl acetatea (VAC) are reviewed.The technique to synthesize VAC by carbonylation from methyl acetate and synthsis gas are also reviewed in this paper.Advances in major metal of catalyst,promoter and catalyst supporter are introduced.Eliminating the need of ethylene or acetylene and external acetic acid,VAC can be produced from synthesis gas and methyl acetate which is the by-product of PVA.
