Distributed Source Coding Method Based on Wireless Sensor Networks

In Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN), it is not energy efficient to transfer the redundant information.This paper distributes source coding which is utilized to compress the information, but the method needs the suitable network structure.The cluster based network and distributed source coding method are combined to meet the requirement of energy efficiency of WSN.Simulation results show that there is about 25%-30% less energy consumption than the conventional routing method.
