Design and Implementation of Trunking on a Broadband Access Swith

Trunking is a technology that aggregates several physical links to form a logical link. It boosts the bandwidth and improves the reliability of networks. First we introduce the principle of Trunking in this paper. Then we describe the design of Trunking on a broadband access switch as well as the implementation in details. We also presents a load balancing algorithm based on Trunking and test it's performance in this paper.
