Application of spatial information technology in water resources management of the changjiang river basin

Starting with a brief overview of spatial information technology, this paper aims mainly to sum up the application of 3S technology in water resources management of the Changjiang River basin. The related research items under planning are also introduced. Lastly, based on trend analysis and our experience, the prospect of applying this technology in Changjiang water resources management is denoted.
