Enhancing Information Awareness Through Speech Induced Anthropomorphism

Information awareness is the process by which people obtain knowledge about the status of personal information that is important to them. This is usually provided graphically using current interface metaphors. When the information would otherwise be hidden from view it must be summoned to the front automatically or manually and users have temporarily to stop what they are doing and interact with the system. The design of the system disregards the costs of interrupting the user.
