Altitude Control of Multi-Rotor Type Aircraft Based on Pressure Sensor

Kenzo NONAMI · Control Engineering of China · 2011

In case of natural disaster like earthquake,a MAV will be very effective for surveying the site and environment in dangerous area or narrow space where human cannot access safely.A six-rotor MAV is designed and taken as the platform the configuration, the flight principles and the embedded control system of the aircraft are introduced. For the altitude control of rotary-wing MAV.The pressure sensor and acceleration sensor are used to replace the GPS receiver to observe flight altitude. The mathematical model of MAV is given, and the optimal controller is designed. To the unobservable state value, the kalman filter is designed. The experimental result shows the performance of the designed controller.
