Discuss on Application of KDD in Intrusion Detection

According to handling process of data digging, the security audit data is handled intellectualized, pick up intrusion model and systemic features related to safety from audit data, and build up intrusion detection model based on data digging. At first, data sources and preprocessing data (integrating data, clearing data, alternating data, simplifying data and so on), and algorithm of decision tree was selected aiming at intrusion detection. Then, data source, data dimension, multi-dimension data set, and data digging model was built up with algorithm of decision tree. Data digging and model visualization was analyzed, the result shows application of data digging technology in intrusion detection is feasible.
