Representation of Polysemy of Adjectives in Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary

After a case study of the defining of 127 high-frequency Chinese adjectives included in the Modern Chinese Standard Dictionary,we find that a new way to represent the polysemy of adjectives has come into existence: a set of synonyms and/or antonyms plus semantic feature.This way of representation of adjectives can be summarized as three steps.This study helps a better understanding of mutual explanation and semantic feature,which is useful for future works in semantics and NLP research.
