DoS Attacks and Prevention Mechanisms on SIP Systems

SIP provides a wide range of features that can be used to mount DoS attacks. This paper first introduces different DoS attacks on SIP systems. Then it explains some attacks in detail. At last some prevention mechanisms are proposed to reduce the effects of DoS attacks on SIP systems.
