Developing Method of GIS Based on ArcObjects and RDBMS

According to the analysis of the problems existing in ArcObjects development,a novel developing method of GIS based on ArcObjects and RDBMS is proposed,which access and modify the Non-spatial data of geometry feature in the relative tables of RDBMS directly,instead of the objects of Geodatabase. Two applications are presented to illuminate the principle and implementation of the proposed method. It is concluded that the pro-posed method can resolve the problems of ArcObjects and improve the development of GIS efficiently.
