A novel design of general data access component based on data warehouse

In order to deal with the urgent problems,such as the convergence for heterogeneous databases and transfer of data warehouse,a general OLAP data access component was proposed based on data warehouse and the concept of data warehouse and component technology.Firstly,a design model of data access layer which encapsulated the data operations was presented.Then,a general OLAP data access layer prototype system was established based on components in accordance with the model referred above,which made the OLAP display tools interacting with different data source freely and improved the flexibility and expansibility of the system.
