Debris flow is main disaster along highway in mountainius region.On the basis of research results to debris flow along highway for years,authors of this paper draw up 《Design Guidbook of Civil Engineering against Debris Flow along Highways》.The paper presents briefly background and evidences to draw up the guidbook,establishes key techniques of the guidbook,and discusses some key problems during using the guidbook,which provide important foundation to revise bearing technique codes about constructing and maintaining of highways.
