Study of Adaptive Time-Frequency Analysis Characteristics of the Local Wave

Adaptive Local Wave Analysis(LWA) is a new effective method for processing non-stationary data.In this paper,the characteristics of the LWA,such as the physical meaning of the intrinsic mode functions,instantaneous frequency,having better joint time-frequency resolution than Wavelet Analysis,without cross terms that exist in Wigner-Ville distribution analysis,and 2-dimension LWA application in image processing,are discussed.
