The Implementation of DDC Based on CORDIC Algorithm

This paper discusses the implementation of the DDC based on CORDIC algorithm, and gives out the pipeline structure of CORDIC algorithm, which word length is 16bits. Through the addition of two pre-rotation, this CORDIC algorithm rotation angle can be coverage in this plan. And the same time, the article also gives the corresponding gain factor adjustment method and the achievement of this pipeline CORDIC algorithm by VHDL, and the simulation results by Quartus Ⅱ environment. Through the analysis of the simulation timing results and the numerical results, we conclude that the implementation of high-speed DDC is doable based on CORDIC algorithm, who can be meet the application environment and its computing results is more accurate too.
