Concept Semantic Similarity Research Based on Ontology

In this paper,based on SUMO we proposed a semantic distance approach for evaluating the semantic similarity of two concepts.By using the approach we have implemented a computing platform.We have compared the results attained from the evaluation with those from the human's judgments,which has justified the validity of the approach proposed in the paper.The approach can be utilized in our ongoing development of semantic database.It can also offer some technical tips for other ontology-related areas.
