A Review on Interpretation of Line Drawings

The importance and problems are introduced for computer to interpret line drawings automatically.A comprehensive survey of the achievement is presented for computer to interpret line drawings according to both qualitative and quantitative analysis.Labeling,face identification and completing imperfect line drawings are the methods for analyzing line drawings qualitatively.There are methods based on linear system,optimization,gradient space,solid elements,fuzzy mathematics,etc.for analyzing line drawings quantitatively.Some unsolved problems are presented on the interpretation of line drawings.
