Optimal harvesting problem of population in a polluted environment
Zhi Feng Luo · Journal of Ningxia University · 2002
A harvesting problem associated with a stock in a polluted environment is studied in this paper. The problem is to find an optimal allocation of efforts towards treating and harvesting the stock so as to optimize the revenue to the harvesting agency. Pontryagin's maximum principle has been used to solve the optimization problem. Optimal solution is obtained and suboptimal paths which mostly sped to the optimal solution are constructed.
