Medical image enhancement based on BEMD and Adaptive filter

For low contrast and poor quality are main problems in the production of medical images.A novel medical image enhancement algorithm based on BEMD and Adaptive filter is proposed.Firstly,a medical image was decomposed with BEMD.Secondly,noise in the frequency field was reducded by the adaptive filter method.Thirdly,high-frequency coefficients were enhanced by different weight values in different sub-image.Lastly,the enhanced image was obtained through reconstruction.Experiments showed that this method can not only enhance an image's details but can also preserve its edge features effective.
