An Introduction to Construction Grammar

Construction grammar,which is based on cognitive linguistics,has a very different way in the study and understanding of the nature of language.It believes that the language is the combination of form and meaning,and that to study language one must combine the form with meaning closely.The grammar wants to establish a network of constructions.According to construction grammar,meaning is not conducted from the parts of the language,but you see is what you get.The theory powerfully explains many language phenomena,but it is not complete and needs to be improved.
