Applications of Web Mining Technology to Clothing Domain

Clothing industry is closely related to national economy and people's consumption,and has undergone a fast development.To keep up with the latest fashion trend in the world,it is of great necessity for clothing producers and designers and researchers to grasp certain technology for retrieving clothing information from a vast storage of data.Web-based data mining technology,which is newly developed in the Internet Age and has never been adopted in clothing field before,is expected to cater to the increasing requirement of the practitioners.This paper discussed the concepts of data mining and Web-based mining along with its possible research orientation in clothing field,and the study was expected to provide some guidance for the teaching,scientific research and production in clothing industry.
