The Discrimination of Traffic States of Urban Major-Minor Intersection Based on Entropy Theory

Through comparing urban road traffic system with thermodynamic system,this study applied the basic theory of thermodynamics into the field of traffic flow,and established the entropy production model based on the fluid theory of traffic flow. The negative entropy which has been injected in the given state and its significance was analyzed,and the total entropy model of traffic system for major-minor intersection was set up,then the discrimination entropy model for traffic states and the condition that need to inject negative entropy were obtained. The results show that the smaller the entropy value is,the higher the road service level will be.
