Based on the technology of a virtual instrument,the virtual fault recorder has been built and according to the principle of signal singularity detection by wavelet transform which is used to process the fault data recorded by the virtual fault recorder,a fault line selection and location installation is developed.The installation has these characteristic:simple hardware structure、extending the function conveniently and so on.
