Blind parameter estimation of frequency-hopping signals based on wavelet transform

A method for estimating the parameters of unknown frequency-hopping(FH) signal is proposed based on Wavelet transform.Considering Wavelet transform’s perfect localizing characteristic in time-frequency domain and effectiveness in detecting local singularity in signals,the method can estimate the parameters of FH signals such as hop timing,hopping frequencies and hop duration without knowing any a priori knowledge.This paper introduces the basic principle of analyzing FH signals using Wavelet transform,gives the parameter estimating algorithms,analyzes the computer simulating results,and obtains more exact estimating results.
