Novel service-oriented protocol architecture of WSN

In this paper,the gaps between the WSN research and the WSN engineering are analyzed firstly.This paper presents a non-layered WSN protocol architecture according to the service oriented idea,employing the loosely coupled service units as the basic elements in the WSN protocol organization.The Petri net based modeling and simulation are also used here to help discuss the WSN service units and the rules of service combination and extension.From the perspective of service,the WSN protocols ar- chitecture can been interpreted comprehensively and reasonably,as well as the various demands from applications can be met well by combining corresponding services units.
