A new phasor estimation method for synchronized phasor measurements

The result of Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT) in asynchronous sampling is not accurate and can not satisfy the requirement of synchronized phasor measurements,due to spectral leakage and barrier effect.This paper analyzes several methods of synchronous sampling and error eliminated and proposes a new phasor estimation method.The proposed method obtains two adjacent zero-crossing points of sampling series by linear interpolation method for frequency tracking,amends the sampling series to get satisfied synchronous sampling,and computes the new series for phasor estimation by DFT as well.The simulation shows that the method has a notable accuracy improvement,and adds little calculation burden than traditional DFT.The favorable performance satisfies the demand of] accuracy and real-time of synchronized phasor measurements.
