V-Parcel Splitting Communication Mechanism of Overlapping Computation and Communication

The efficient of communication in parallel system is a key factor in whole system performance and the overlapping of computation and communication is a well-know approach to reducing communication traffic and improve system performance.To support the overlapping of computation and communication in V-PIM based parallel system,V-Parcel Splitting communication mechanism is presented.Based on the analysis of vector elements distribution,V-Parcel Splitting can dynamically generate V-Parcel communication package to transfer data or operations so as to local the computation,minimum the communication,and maximum the performance.The procedure and characteristics of the V-Parcel Splitting is described.
