Fast fractal image coding algorithm based on sub-image feature

According to the pixel distribution feature of the sub-images,this paper proposed a fast fractal image coding algorithm based on variance and DCT transformation,moreover,the definition of the average block was addressed and utilized to improve the above combined algorithm.Experimental results show that the novel algorithm can improve the compression ratio and decode quality much and need less coding time than the variance based fractal coding algorithm.
