The application research of Expert System and Decision Support System in forestry based on GIS has greatly improved the development level of digital forestry.This paper introduces the Geographic Information System(GIS),Expert System(ES),Decision Support System(DSS),and analyzes their application in four aspects such as forest fire,afforestation,forest pest and forest resources management.The paper also discusses the main problems faced by or existing in the application of the system in the forestry and prospects on the application are made as well.
