On Construction of Forensic Parallel Corpus

The wide use of corpus technology has opened a door to contrastive language research and translation study. Compared with other linguistics disciplines, forensic linguistics researchers still adhere to intuition and retrospection methods; consequently, there are few studies based on abundant corpora and empirical methods. Therefore, the construction of forensic parallel corpus becomes an urgent task faced with forensic researchers. This paper combines the characteristics of parallel corpus and forensic linguistics, and probes into the promising application of parallel corpus to forensic linguistics on six aspects.
