An Exploration on the Sentence Pattern of "Hai+NP+Ne"

Feng Hu · Journal of Changchun Normal University · 2011

Hai+NP+Ne is usually used in the modern spoken Chinese sentence.Through classifying the sentence pattern of Hai+NP+Ne into six groups of S1-S6,this article explores on them one by one from the three perspectives of syntax, semantics and pragmatics. The structures of adverbial + centre words express different semantics:the name of NP is not fit for the reality(S1:the name beyond the reality;S6:the reality beyond the name);even without the realization of less than NP,let alone NP(S2);NP will no longer exist(S3);compared with something or somebody that inferior to NP,NP is on a higher degree(S4);denies the former information through denying NP playfully(S5).Thus the sentence pattern transfers the tones such as blame, denial and commendation.
