Implementation of DDS Based on CORDIC Algorithm

The direct digital frequency synthesizer(DDS) is widely used in the field of software radio.An ideal means of constructing DDS is to replace multiplication operations by shifting and operation add(subtraction) in CORDIC algorithm.This paper introduces the basic principles of CORDIC algorithm and employs a pipelined method for the design and implementation of CORDIC algorithm to replace the traditional method of ROM look-up table.Finally,it proves that the DDS based on CORDIC algorithm has the advantages of high-precision and high-resolution and can meet the real-time computing requirements.
