A New Method of Iris Location

The article gives a new method preprocessing the iris which uses complex diffusion filter to process iris smoothly. The first method makes use of the edge-preserving smoothing character of the diffused filter to pick-up some points of iris’ internal edge. Then it uses the method of three points to fix on the center of circle to calculate the iris’ center. Finally this paper decides the iris’ center and radius accurately in a small scope by using standard Hough transform. As emulator shows that the method is superior to the existing methods. The performance of speed, robustness and precision achieve high level.
